Huichol Center – This meticulously handcrafted object was made by an artis of the Huichol tribe (know also as the "Wixarica"), in the remote mountains of Mexico. The artwork of this now endangered shamanic culture is a reflection of their native spirituality, whitch date back to Aztec times.
Since 1981 The Huichol Center For Coltural Survival, a non-profit organization, has been working to promote cultural sustanability in the Huichol homelan. Your purchase helps the Huichols proyect their traditional ways, and empowers them to survive in the modern world on their own terms.
